米善KOMEYOSHI

About Komeyoshi

Grown for our families. Shared openly with yours.

Growing rice brings sunny days, rainy days, and muddy days. Some days our decisions bear fruit; others teach us what to improve next.

From planting and water management to harvest and milling, we share the work behind every bowl. Komeyoshi delivers more than rice — we deliver the people, fields, and growing story behind it.

We grow rice we want to feed our own families, and bring it straight to your table. That is Komeyoshi's promise, from Kawagoe.

Your best bowl, every day.

In the grower's words

How it began

Ever since I was a child, beyond my grandfather's back there were always rice paddies. Today I stand in the very fields he stood in. What I inherited was more than land — it was the work of growing rice you feed your own family.

This land, this variety

Our water runs straight from the Iruma River into the paddies. Saitama summers are brutal for rice. So we bet on Sai no Kizuna, a variety that thrives in that heat. There is a flavor only this land can produce.

It starts with my wife's 'oishii'

This is the rice my own family eats every day. Cooked slightly firm, it fills the kitchen with a sweet aroma. My wife's single word — oishii — is my quality standard. The same bowl goes straight to your table.

WHY KOMEYOSHI

Four reasons people choose Komeyoshi

Each one is possible only because it ships straight from our paddies in Kawagoe.

01 Only here

A variety you won't find at the supermarket

Sai no Kizuna is bred by Saitama Prefecture and grown only within it. We ship only what our own Kawagoe paddies produce.

02 Freshness

The aroma is different the moment you open the bag

Milled on shipping day, with the milling date printed on every bag. 5kg bags keep it fragrant to the last bowl.

03 Trust

You know exactly who grew it

The person who raised it from seed mills and ships it. Every step from planting to harvest is shared on Instagram.

04 Easy to start

Start lightly, stop anytime

No payment at reservation (first charge on shipping day). No minimum term — cancel in one minute from My Page. Shipping included; annual plans refund undelivered months.

What makes Komeyoshi different

  1. Freshness

    Milled after you order

We store rice as brown rice at low temperature and mill it only after you order, so it arrives freshly milled — with the milling date on every shipment.

  2. Openness

    We share how it grows

From planting to harvest and milling, every step is shared on Instagram. This is rice we feed our own families, so we never show only the pretty parts.

  3. Origin

    Kawagoe soil and water

In our Kawagoe paddies we raise seedlings from seed rice and plant them one by one — weeding through midsummer heat and adjusting water before typhoons, all by hand.

  4. Choice

    Two tastes to choose from

Chewy, balanced Sainokizuna and glossy, sweet Koshihikari — from the same Kawagoe soil, chosen to match your cooking.

Sunny days, muddy days — we share them all.

Every success and every lesson goes into the next harvest. See daily life in the paddies on Instagram.
